Ms. Childress graduated from The University of Texas School of Law. Since she joined the firm, she has focused her practice on the representation of both defendants and plaintiffs in complex commercial litigation, including business torts and breach of contract.
Her litigation experience includes assisting in prosecuting a mining case in Nevada state court for breach of contract, professional negligence, and fraud resulting in a unanimous jury verdict; a multi-million dollar case on behalf of investors in a limited partnership suing a Big Five accounting firm for breach of fiduciary duty, accounting negligence, and fraud over audits of the partnership; and successfully settling a contract claim on behalf of an engineering company against its contractor, a construction company.
She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Childress was General Counsel to Texas Senator David Sibley, Chairman of the Texas Senate Business and Commerce Committee.
