Ms. Childress graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2000 and joined the firm in 2002. She has focused her practice on the representation of both defendants and plaintiffs in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, including business torts, contract, securities, employment, and healthcare disputes.

Her litigation experience includes assisting in prosecuting a complex construction case in Nevada state court, resulting in the largest actual damages verdict, judgment, and settlement in state history; a multi-million dollar case on behalf of investors in a limited partnership suing a worldwide accounting firm for accounting negligence and fraud, resulting in separate, mid eight-figure confidential settlements; an AAA arbitration on behalf of our client, resulting in a high-six figure award against the client's former investment advisor for professional negligence; favorably settling a multi-million dollar contract claim on behalf of a major hospital system against a local non-profit organization; handling various employment disputes for a hospital's physician organization, including covenants not to compete, wrongful termination claims, and claims for employee failures to satisfy terms of employment; representing a major hospital system in addressing disputes arising from the termination of its long-term affiliation with a premier medical school, including assisting in a successful defense against claims that its research and teaching activities violated certain restricted covenants and representing the system in attempting to resolve the disposition of millions of dollars in disputed funds held by the parties.

Ms. Childress is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Texas. Among other professional endeavors, she is co-chair of the Firm's annual Women's Leadership Forum, which gathers community professionals for a seminar briefing by prominent women executives, lawyers, and other leaders. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Childress was General Counsel to Texas Senator David Sibley, then Chairman of the Texas Senate Business and Commerce Committee.
