Mr. Cox graduated summa cum laude from Duke Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Law Journal, was a member of Order of the Coif, and received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Constitutional Law and Civil Rights. After graduation, he clerked for the Hon. Anthony J. Scirica, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Before joining the firm, he practiced for three years at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C.

His practice focuses on complex business litigation. He has represented corporations and individuals in a wide range of matters in federal courts, state courts, and arbitration proceedings throughout the United States and abroad. He has experience in international matters, RICO litigation, products liability, commercial disputes, First Amendment litigation, and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Cox has represented clients in a broad variety of industries, including the hotel management, health care, publishing, financial services, mining, and automotive industries.

He is admitted to practice in Texas, the District of Columbia, and several federal courts. Mr. Cox is a Director of the Texas Lyceum. He serves on the Baylor University Alumni Association Board of Directors, Baylor’s Student Life Advisory Committee and Duke Law School’s “Future Forum.” He has been selected as a “Leader of Tomorrow” by the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and is a member of the Garland R. Walker American Inn of Court.
