Ms. Hohensee graduated from The University of Houston Law Center, with highest honors, and previously practiced as a litigation associate with Baker Botts, L.L.P.
Ms. Hohensee specializes in patent litigation. Her patent trial experience includes representing oilfield services companies in lawsuits involving drilling technology, drilling rig equipment, cuttings disposal, blowout preventers, casing exit systems, and refined products technology; obtaining a take-nothing judgment for a defendant in the Eastern District of Texas; defending a leading supplier of scientific laboratory equipment; representing patentees in the enforcement of patents involving biomedical, electrical, and oilfield technology; and leading or participating in Markman hearings, motion hearings, mediations and trial. She also has specialized in defending major oil and gas companies, chemicals companies, and waste disposal companies against wrongful death and toxic tort claims arising from alleged air, water and soil contamination.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hohensee worked for Exxon Co., U.S.A. as a Senior Engineer specializing in formation evaluation, reservoir management, producing field operations, infill drilling programs and producing property acquisitions. By education, she is an electrical engineer.
Ms. Hohensee is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, and Houston Intellectual Property Law Association, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and all state and federal courts in Texas .
