Ms. Karakowsky graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law where she was a member of the Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.

She has assisted in representing plaintiffs and defendants in state courts, federal courts, and arbitration proceedings. Her litigation experience includes defending a complex warranty case arising from the sale of reciprocating compressors for use on an offshore floating production unit; assisting in the defense of a copper mining company from fraudulent transfer claims in bankruptcy; providing assistance in the representation of a major hospital system in addressing disputes arising from the termination of its long-term affiliation with a premier medical school and attempting to resolve the disposition of millions of dollars in disputed funds held by the parties.

Ms. Karakowsky co-authored an article, "The ABCs of Privity Defense," which was published in the Summer 2009 edition of the ABA Commercial Litigation Section's "Commercial & Business Litigation Newsletter."

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the Cardozo Society. She is admitted to practice in all Texas state and federal courts.
