Mr. McCloskey graduated from The University of Virginia Law School. Since he joined the firm, he has focused his practice on complex commercial litigation.

His litigation experience includes acting as lead trial counsel in recovering in excess of $10 million in funds embezzled from a Texas public agency, acting as trial counsel in obtaining a pay-nothing judgment in a multi-million dollar fraud case against a major national bank regarding its analysis of oil and gas properties, acting as lead counsel in obtaining a pay-nothing judgment for a major national bank in a $50 million fraud and breach of fiduciary duty action, participating in the successful defense of a mass toxic tort action by more than 1,000 plaintiffs, participating in the trial of a case that obtained the largest actual damages verdict, judgment and settlement in Nevada history, participating in securing a favorable settlement for the defense in a $100 million suit arising from the sale of its gas compression division and participating in securing a favorable settlement for a Texas law firm in a $10.5 million malpractice case.

Mr. McCloskey is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
